KLH is a safe and flexible antigen platform for the preparation of potent immune conjugates from a wide variety of candidate antigen molecules.
KLH is a high molecular respiratory glycoprotein from the hemolymph of the marine mollusc Megathura crenulata. The protein is expressed in two subunit isoforms (KLH1 and KLH2) of ~360-390 kD monomeric molecular weight; both isoforms assemble into native homo-didecamers of ~8,000 kD in hemolymph.

Stellar Biotechnologies, Inc. is a California-based biological product company specializing in the production of GMP-grade KLH (keyhole limpet hemocyanin) protein products for biomedical applications. Stellar's KLH products are derived from the hemolymph of aquacultured animals that are raised using proprietary methods in our controlled-environment cultivation systems. Stellar has a history of successful implementation of Federal NIH grant funded research to advance its technology and commercialize its products. We manufacture GMP-grade supplies of this critical component for a new class of medicines known as therapeutic vaccines that are being used to treat cancer, hypertension, arthritis, drug addiction and other serious chronic diseases.
